First-session checklist
Use the short checklist to verify a receive address, receive a small amount, sign once, and test recovery before relying on the wallet.
Before depositing an amount whose loss would be materially harmful to you, install and verify the current recommended firmware. Standard new-seed generation then combines fresh device entropy with one required method: 65 key presses with unpredictable timing, 50 physical dice rolls, or 128 physical coin flips. Dice Rolls Only remains a separate advanced workflow. After verifying the seed backup, use a strong, unique BIP-39 passphrase, back it up separately, record its wallet fingerprint, and test recovery before depositing funds. The savings security checklist covers the complete process.
Your seed words, PIN, passphrase, backup password, and private keys are secrets. Coinkite support does not need them. Never paste them into a website, support ticket, chat, phone, or computer.
